Does the 7 tuba hiking area have public grills for use? Do these get very busy? Are they only charcoal? I want to bring a cooker and cool a BBQ. Is this possible without a permit?

there isn't any cooking area that was seen there I think if you wanted to just go up the hill a little farther you could go to the francis walter dam area there is tables and cooking grills …

Will be traveling alone with five kids and a medium sized dog. Looking for a place like this for them to run and play off of 81s. Is this a good place for that?

Honestly? No Waterfalls, slippery trails and rocks. A great hike for kids if under your direct supervision

I think it will be perfect. As always, you just need to keep an eye on them when they go off trail as there are some steep and slippery spots around the "tubs"
