Beautiful area & lovely walk to the Lighthouse from downtown South Haven. Beach was gorgeous! Loved watching the boats enter & leave the harbor. Full review by Andrea R

Love this area! So beautiful. Beaches and lighthouse were worth the visit. $10 to park all day. The consession stand had very good ice cream! Full review by kellyhQ6722BW

Parking was a mess. But it was worth the walk. Lots of places along the inlet to set. But nothing near the light house. Wish we could have went inside . Full review by Voyager58203480877

The Google map pin is correct. The light house is about 100 yards out in the lake. I don't know what map pin you are referring to.

There are cottages and condos (check VRBO) within walking distance of the light, but I think hotels might be a short drive away. You can use the free parking in downtown South Haven and enjoy a walk past the Marina down to the lighthouse.

Depending on the weather and the amount of an ice(only a problem in winter) of high wind and waves you can walk all the way out. But this isn't a light you can climb. The old light north of Ludington (Big Point Sable) is open on some weekends and you can climb it.
