Tompkins Township is a civil township of Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,618 at the 2020 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.36 square miles, of which 36.01 square miles is land and 0.35 square miles is water.
