Visitors and staff at two national parks in the U.S. West have been evacuated because of wildfires.

On Thursday around noon, two fires broke out at the north and south rims of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Wildfires continue to burn in western Colorado, creating some heavy smoke, with more lightning and gusty winds expected for parts of the Western Slope Friday.
