Shots have been fired into the home of Oregon insurance CEO in a 'possible targeted shooting', authorities say. The incident happened in Lake Oswego leaving damage to a front door in CEO of SAIF corporation Chip Terhune described how he was woken by noises he thought were rocks hitting his windows before being sent a threatening email from an individual claiming to have been the shooter.

A shooting in Lake Oswego on Friday morning appears to have targeted the home of the CEO of the SAIF Corporation. The shooting happened in the 13000 block of Melrose Place, where Chip Terhune, the chief executive of Oregon’s nonprofit worker’s compensation insurance company, lives, according to police and public records.

Gov. Tina Kotek is responsible for appointing the five-member SAIF board, which in turn hires and supervises the insurer’s CEO. Kotek’s spokeswoman, Elisabeth Shepard, says the governor’s office is aware of the incident but cannot comment because of the ongoing law enforcement investigation.
