Elijah Caudill, 24, was taken into custody after multiple stabbings in Denver left two dead and two more injured over the weekend, according to police.

Police in Denver have arrested the suspect wanted in a series of stabbings, some of them deadly, near the 16th Street Mall over the weekend.

Denver’s medical examiner on Wednesday identified the second person killed in a string of stabbings on the 16th Street Mall over the weekend. Nicholas Burkett, 34, was pronounced dead from a stab wound at Denver Health at about 9:38 p.

The man at the center of the murder investigation spent much of 2023 and 2024 in either prison or jail, 9NEWS Investigates found.
