(Reuters) -Swedish football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, the first foreigner to lead the England national team, died with debts of over 3.8 million pounds ($4.64 million) following years of financial mismanagement.

The Swede, who managed England's international team between 2001 and 2006, died last August aged 76. Reports say most of his sizeable debts were tax-related in the UK.

According to The Daily Express, Eriksson’s estate was published on Tuesday, with a series of Swedish documents showing that he died £8.6million (88 million Swedish kroner) in debt. Eriksson reportedly had assets worth £4.83m (66 million kroner) leaving a deficit of £3.7m (51 million kroner).
