The Michigan Wolverines weren't able to repeat as national champions in 2024 after their majestic triumph in the 2023 College Football Playoff. Don't blame the interior defensive line tandem of Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant.

Michigan football may have gone 7-5 this past season but it was rife with talent — particularly on the defensive side of the ball. But even with multiple stars declaring for the NFL draft shortly after the conclusion of the regular season, there was one Wolverine who appeared to be holding out.

Grant, a former four-star recruit out of Merrillville, Ind., announced Thursday he will be entering the 2025 NFL draft. He will not play in Michigan's bowl game, the Reliaquest Bowl against Alabama, to focus on preparation for the next level as a projected first-round pick.

Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant, a projected first-round pick and the No. 25 player on ’s Big Board, has declared for the NFL Draft. Grant joined forces with Mason Graham over the past three years to give Michigan one of the most dominant interior defensive lines in college football.

Star Michigan football defensive lineman Kenneth Grant has made his decision regarding the NFL Draft. Grant will not be returning to Michigan for another season, and he will instead head to the NFL. Grant could very well end up being a first-round pick. Jim Harbaugh called Grant a “gift from the football gods,” and he lived up to the hype.
