Frances Tiafoe has put Team World ahead at the Laver Cup with a victory over Daniil Medvedev. The American won 3-6, 6-4 and 10-5 in the third set which is a match tiebreaker.

Carlos Alcaraz beat American Ben Shelton 6-4 6-4 to level the score between Team Europe and Team World on the second day of the Laver Cup on Saturday.

Carlos Alcaraz suffered a losing debut at the Laver Cup on Friday when he and Team Europe partner Alexander Zverev were defeated in straight sets in their doubles clash against Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton of Team World.

Both Ruud and Alcaraz are in Laver Cup action this week for Team Europe, looking to win back the title after back-to-back losses to Team World in the men’s team competition. The
