The New York Jets have interviewed current ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick for their vacant general manager position. Riddick, 55, has never held the GM title in the league before, but he has been a coveted interview candidate for vacant jobs in recent years and is a well-respected pundent in his industry.

With their 2024 season winding down, the New York Jets continue to make plays for 2025 and beyond. The team announced Thursday that it has completed an interview with former NFL player and executive and current ESPN analyst Louis Riddick for their general manager position.

Rivera is the first known person to interview for the head coach role after the team fired Robert Saleh in October and named Jeff Ulbrich the interim bench boss.

The New York Jets interviewed former Washington and Carolina coach Ron Rivera. He's the first known head coaching candidate to meet with the team.

Rivera went 26-40-1 during a four-year stint with the Commanders, leading Washington to the playoffs during his first season with the team in 2020.

Riddick, who interviewed for the GM openings of the Lions and the Texans in 2020, is the third candidate to interview for the Jets' GM post. The team has also announced completed interviews with former Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff and former Titans GM Jon Robinson.
