FOX 2 - A missing 52-year-old Michigan man was found dead in the Cass River at Frankenmuth last week. On Jan. 4, Robert Loren Bacon's body was located and recovered by police dive teams in the river, near Heritage Park. Bacon had been missing since Dec. 30.

A father who vanished while on a family holiday trip has been found dead in a river as mystery continues to shroud the case. The remains of Robert Loren Bacon, 52, were discovered at 2pm on Saturday by a dive team scouring the Cass River close to Heritage Park in Michigan, according to the Frankenmuth Police Department.

Bacon was reported missing Dec. 30 by his family who reported last seeing him attending a family gathering Dec. 27 at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth, not far south from where his body was later located, police said.
