The opening week of the 2025 PGA Tour season does not necessarily make a year, but it does make for a good reminder. Amid prognostications of Scottie Scheffler winning every tournament, Collin Morikawa returning to his winning ways and Justin Thomas continuing his path back to the top of the golf world,

The Sentry, a limited-field, no-cut signature event to kick off the PGA Tour's season, is down to the final round. There were originally 65 players eligible, but the tournament teed off on Thursday with 59 golfers. Only one will hoist the 35-pound trophy Sunday evening in Maui.

The first PGA Tour event of the year is over as The Sentry wrapped up from Kapalua Plantation, Maui, Hawaii. Hideki Matsuyama won the event, shooting 35-under-par 257 on the opening event of the Tour.
