President Donald Trump played golf Saturday at his course on Scotland's coast while protesters around the country took to the streets to decry his visit and accuse United Kingdom leaders of pandering to the American.

Trump landed at Glasgow's Prestwick airport just before 8:30 p.m. BST on Friday where he was greeted by Ian Murray, Scottish secretary in the British government, and U.S. ambassador to the U.K. Warren Stephens.

The Scots are generally not fans of Mr. Trump, and protests were already planned for Saturday. A group called “Stop Trump Scotland” said it was organizing a “festival of resistance” against Mr. Trump during the trip and has called on John Swinney, the first minister of Scotland, to cancel plans to meet with him.
