MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Twins All-Star center fielder Byron Buxton hit for the cycle Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The cycle was the first for any player in Target Field history since the ballpark opened in 2010. It was the first cycle by a Twins player since Jorge Polanco had one in 2019.

Byron Buxton hit for the cycle for the first time in his career, and the Minnesota Twins pulled away for a 12-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis.

On his own bobblehead day in Minnesota, Byron Buxton belted a seventh-inning home run to become the first Twin to hit for the cycle since 2019.
