PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Authorities in Maine said Friday they have charged a 17-year-old with murder in the death of a paddleboarder who went missing on a rural pond that is a popular summer destination.

An arrest has been made in the murder of Sunshine Stewart, a paddleboarder who went missing in Maine earlier this month.

A Maine teen who was arrested in connection with the killing of a paddleboarder reportedly wrote on his Facebook after the alleged murder that he was "doing well." The 17-year-old Maine native has been identified as Deven Young by police and court documents, WABI, WMTW and WGME reported.

Deven Young is the 17-year-old suspect accused of the murder of Union, ME, paddleboarder Sunshine Stewart. Young is from Frankfort, ME, and is 17-years-old, according to WMTW-TV. Stewart was found deceased at Crawford Pond on July 2,
