Israeli forces killed at least three Palestinian militants in stepped-up operations across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday following the killing of three Israelis near a Jewish settlement, the Israeli military said.

The Israeli military launched a wave of raids across the occupied West Bank overnight and into Tuesday, killing at least three Palestinians it said were militants after a deadly shooting attack the day before.

Gunmen opened fire on a bus carrying Israelis in the occupied West Bank on Monday, killing two 70-year-old women and a 35-year-old policeman, Israel's military said. Israeli soldiers have launched widespread operations in the northern West Bank looking for the attackers.

Israel Defense Forces were hunting for gunmen who opened fire on vehicles crawling in traffic in a West Bank village, killing three Israelis and injuring eight.

The Israeli military said early on Tuesday its Air Force attacked a group of armed "terrorists" in the West Bank. A fighter jet targeted the "terrorists" in the area of Tamun in the Jordan Valley, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on X.
