Boston Marathon is expected to be a great day for runners and spectators based on the weather forecast. The weather changes every year, but the challenging 26.2 mile course does not. Here's a map of the route through eight communities from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in Boston.

From suburban towns and flat terrains to brutal rolling hills and city streets, the 26.2-mile Boston Marathon course is unlike any other.

Road closures for the marathon and for the Patriots' Day Parade on Monday, April 21 will be extensive. The City of Boston encourages spectators not to drive personal vehicles into the city and instead take advantage of Bluebikes rentals or public transit, with details on the MBTA website.
