Trey DeWolf of Durham was on Spring Break at Beech Mountain when he heard several lightning strikes and spotted the fire — he then jumped into action waking people up.
The fire was contained, but North Middleton Police did go to multiple homes in the area east of Waggoner's Gap Road to advise residents of the fire.
