In a welcome boost for the Dallas Mavericks, NBA insider Shams Charania provided a new timeline for injured Kyrie Irving. According to reports, there’s “optimism” that All-Star guard Irving will return from his torn ACL in January and is expected to recover fully.

Kyrie Irving’s ACL injury was a huge blow for the Dallas Mavericks, but Shams Charania has provided fans with an update on when they can expect to see him again. Things went from bad to worse for the Dallas Mavericks on the court after they traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers on February 2nd,

The nine-time All-Star Irving, now 33 years old, tore the ACL in his left knee during a game against the Sacramento Kings in early March ( video here ). ACL tears are generally 10-12 month injuries, so Irving may end up on the early end of that timeline if all goes according to plan.
