A man suspected of a violent break-in wrote “shot her” after police say he broke into a home, shot a woman and threatened her in her east Las Vegas Valley home.

According to LVMPD, the driver of a newer model Nissan Maxima struck a pedestrian on North Eastern Avenue, south of East Owens Avenue around 6:52 p.m. An initial investigation found that the Nissan was traveling north on Eastern, and failed to yield right-of-way, striking a woman crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.
