The Boston Red Sox are wearing yellow and light blue jerseys. The jerseys stray from the traditional red and white color scheme for the club and is part of the City Connect program by the MLB.

According to a new study from the University of Georgia, the joro spider −a palm-size bright yellow, blue-black and red arachnid− would rather be left alone than attack a human.

In May 2025, the Red Sox introduced their second City Connect jerseys, a green uniform with white pants, white lettering, and a yellow Nike Swoosh and number on the front.
