Some newly surfaced evidence suggests a hit Resident Evil game from the Xbox 360 era could be making a comeback in the near future.

Resident Evil 5, 2009's mainline RE title that heavily featured co-op in pretty much every aspect of the game, has been rated for Xbox Series X|S in the US. Here's the rating posted online, along with the ESRB's description of the title:

Resident Evil 5, a fifth mainline installment of Capcom's leading survival horror series that saw franchise veteran Chris Redfield team with Sheva Alomar against zombies, Tricell, and Albert Wesker in West Africa,

Capcom has announced that it will shut down the servers for Resident Evil Re:Verse on June 29, and it will be removed from digital storefronts on March 3, along with its DLC.

Resident Evil 5 may soon get a native current-gen console version, as the ESRB has rated it for the Xbox Series platform.

Released alongside Resident Evil Village, after three years, multiplayer spin-off ReVerse is being shut down and yanked from sale by Capcom.

Last month, the ESRB also classified Resident Evil 6 for Xbox Series X/S, suggesting both titles could be coming to current-gen consoles soon.
