GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died after he was hit by a steel door at a Grand Rapids restaurant during storms on Saturday.

Photos show the front of the car inside the lobby, the glass doors broken and shattered.The sheriff's office said the man was not able to get through to the steel security doors further inside.

According to deputies, the man was not able to breach the inner steel security doors. The man was taken into custody after the crash.
