Two days after being chosen as the recipient of the Cinema Vanguard Award at this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Adrien Brody has been awarded another top honor at an influential awards season stop.

The Santa Barbara Film Festival is lauding The Brutalist stars Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce with the 2025 Cinema Vanguard Award.

The Vanguard Award recognizes the collective work of a film’s cast and director on a particular project. This year, “Emilia Pérez” stars Karla Sofia Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez and Edgar Ramírez will be presented the award alongside director Jacques Audiard.

Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce are the latest awards contenders to receive honors at this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival. On Tuesday, festival organizers revealed “The Brutalist” co-stars will be given the Cinema Vanguard Award at the 40th annual SBIFF next year.

The Palm Springs Film Festival has set Adrien Brody for its 2025 Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actor, for his “career best” turn in The Brutalist, and Conclave is set for its Ensemble Performance Award.

The Brutalist star Adrien Brody will receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actor, at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, it was announced on Thursday. He will receive the honor at the Palm Springs International Film Awards,

The Film Awards will take place on Jan. 3, 2025, at the Convention Center, and the festival will run Jan. 2-13, 2025.
