The FBI and Texas DPS are asking for the public's help in the search for Benjamin Song, accused of shooting an officer in the Alvarado ICE attack.
The FBI is searching for Benjamin Hanil Song in connection with a July 4 shooting at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, an ICE-operated facility.
AUSTIN, Texas (KAUZ) - The Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive List now features Benjamin Song. At Governor Greg Abbott’s order, Texas Crime Stoppers is also offering a $10,000 reward for Song. The FBI is also offering $25,000 for information that leads to Song’s arrest and conviction.
Alvarado police offers were dispatched to the detention center in the 1200 block of Sunflower Lane around 10:56 p.m. Friday, according to the Johnson County sheriff’s office. The call was made to investigate a report of “a suspicious person.”
Daniel Alvarado, 20, is accused of fatally shooting a 47-year-old man July 5 in the 2600 block of South Central Park Avenue.
