Ukraine's air force said on Monday Russia had fired 426 drones and 19 cruise missiles at the country overnight, as well as five hypersonic ballistic missiles.

The hypersonic missile and drone onslaught hit the western city of Ivano-Frankivsk, in the strongest attack of the 1,243-day war, as well as Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Poland and its allied countries scrambled fighter jets in response to Russia’s large-scale missile and drone attack against Ukraine, according to a statement from the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
