Google’s latest Drive features can give Workspace users more information about the videos they’ve saved. A Gemini AI feature that summarizes documents and PDFs in Google Drive is now expanding to video files, allowing users to gain insights about what’s in the video without having to watch it themselves.

Gemini in Google Drive can now summarize and answer questions about videos. The feature is available in English only and is accessible through Google Drive’s overlay previewer or a standalone file viewer.

Google says Gemini helps users save time by pulling key insights from videos, offering faster access to information without rewatching entire files.

Google integrated Gemini in Gmail, but you can still disable Gemini in Gmail and other Google apps on both desktop and mobile devices.
