A crew of four from the Northern Lakes Fire District returned on Tuesday after being deployed to LA to help fight the devastating wildfires.

Paws for Life K9 Rescue joined forces with Wings of Rescue to fly hundreds of adoptable dogs from shelters in the Los Angeles area to partner rescue organizations in nearby states.

Firefighters from several Idaho departments are back in the state after going to California to help with the fires. The fires have killed 28 people and destroyed  15,467 structures, and those numbers are expected to rise.
