Suns Overcome Struggles, Roll Over Nets
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns (22-21) closed out the extensive road trip on a high note in defeating the Brooklyn Nets (14-30) by a score of 108-84 at Barclays Center on Wednesday night. The Nets came into the game supremely short-handed, while Phoenix ruled out Bradley Beal approximately an hour before tip-off.
Phoenix is notably coming off of an ugly loss at the hands of the NBA-best Cleveland Cavaliers, but the silver lining is that the Nets are currently boasting a 14-29 record and that the roster largely remains healthy going into the matchup. There are only two names on the current injury report, and the names have been mainstays over the last week.
BROOKLYN – The Cleveland Cavaliers brought the Phoenix Suns back down to earth Monday afternoon. The NBA’s best team ran away from the Suns, 118-92, after leading by as many as 32 points on Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
The Suns are currently 8-13 on the road with a point differential of -2, while the Nets have a 1-9 record in their last ten games at home.
The sample size isn't a large one for newly-acquired Suns center Nick Richards, but our NBA betting picks think he'll continue to play a massive part in the Phoenix offense vs. a vulnerable Nets team.
The Phoenix Suns will take a win any way they can. With the Brooklyn Nets down nine players, the Suns raced out to an early double-digit lead in a 108-84 victory Wednesday night before a crowd of 17,077 at Barclays Center to end a five-game road trip with a 3-2 mark.
The Brooklyn Nets have been embracing a full rebuild since they traded Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns. Durant is still a fan of the franchise.
