Republicans Brian Burke and Liz Piazza are challenging Democratic incumbent Richard Womack and Joanna Phillips for two seats on Delaware County Council.
Central Ohio voters will choose new members of city councils and school boards, elect municipal office holders and decide ballot issues.
Delaware County Council Vice Chair Richard Womack announced Wednesday night there would be an interactive meeting of the county’s Budget Task Force on Nov. 10, as some residents asked about seeing a budget proposal before the election.
On Nov. 4, you can bring your blank mail ballot to the polls and surrender it and the outer return envelope and vote in person. If you did not vote by mail but do not still have your mail ballot or the envelope to surrender at your polling place, you can vote in person on Election Day by provisional ballot.
Democrats have dominated Delaware County government since the 2019 election. As suburban communities across the nation flipped from red to blue, Democrats took control of the county council for the first time since the Civil War — the result of long-term shifts accelerated by President Donald Trump’s first administration.
