Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo is staying in the NYC mayoral race as an independent after a 12-point defeat at the hands of Zohran Mamdani for the Democratic nomination.
Mamdani is slated to meet with business and law firm leaders in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday through visits with the business group Partnership for New York City.
Following his primary loss, the former governor is hoping a broader electorate will help him defeat Zohran Mamdani and Mayor Eric Adams.
