If anyone out there knows about being under-appreciated while building a historic career in Boston, it's Celtics alumni Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

Boston Celtics star Tatum had a hugely successful 2024 on and off the court, and has now shed some light on his personal life.

During the Boston Celtics 110-103 win against the Denver Nuggets, the hardwood wasn't the only place fans saw superstar Jayson Tatum.

Celtics champion Paul Pierce agreed with Tatum, and added why he thinks the 26-year-old is underappreciated. “He plays for Boston. It’s just what it is,” Pierce said on “KG Certified." “Even Larry Bird was underappreciated because at one point, he was the best player in the league even though it was always Magic (getting the attention).

“And by the way, before you bang on that Klay Thompson reference,” Cowherd said. “Klay Thompson was a top five or six defender in the league, and the best catch and shoot guy in the league, and is going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer. So don't give me this, ‘Jayson Tatum is better than Klay Thompson.'”
