MONTREAL, Aug. 24.--Sir Charles Tupper flatly denies the statement that he has returned to take a place in the Cabinet as Finance Minister.

OTTAWA, Oct. 14.--It is rumored here that Sir Charles Tupper is to be created a Baron in consideration of his valuable services in the interests of trade and commerce.
