SEOUL — South Korea's opposition said on Thursday it filed an impeachment motion against acting President Han Duck-soo, in an escalating row over the composition of the Constitutional Court which would decide whether to remove his predecessor from office.

The South Korean parliament voted Friday to impeach Acting President Han Duck-soo, just days after his predecessor Yoon Suk Yeol was impeached over declaring a short-lived martial law.The liberal opposition bloc led by the Democratic Party,

America must assess whether the next South Korean president would continue the policies of Yoon Suk Yeol, a supporter of U.S. foreign initiatives.
