In 1997 the Scottish band Travis released its first album, Good Feeling, which featured the track "Tied to the 90s." Though not as big as some of their other 1990s rock contemporaries, lead singer Fran Healy created instant nostalgia with "Tied to the 90s" and demonstrated incredible prescience.

Also on the ballot for the Class of 2025 are Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Maná, Billy Idol and the White Stripes, among others.

CLEVELAND — Fourteen artists and groups have been named as nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025. This year the museum selected Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, Maná, Oasis, OutKast, Phish, Soundgarden and The White Stripes for the shortlist.

Mariah Carey, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, OutKast and Phish are some the 2025 nominees for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a list that also includes two sets of musical brothers who have had public feuds and recent reunions — the Black Crowes and Oasis.
