A grimy retaining wall along a major thoroughfare in Fountain Heights is an eyesore no longer. It now shines with the bright colors of a mural painted by students at the Alabama School of Fine Arts.

The retaining wall in front of the Walter J. Blackburn memorial fountain at the Forks of the Thames is undergoing maintenance starting next week. The work will begin Tuesday, weather permitting.
