The Dallas Cowboys ended their head coaching search on Friday, announcing that offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer would be getting a promotion and taking over the job. Fans found something a little odd in the team's late-night announcement, however.

There's only one coordinator opening remaining on new Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer's staff: offensive coordinator. Whomever he hires to that role will not be the play-caller, as Schottenheimer will assume that role.
