Political control of the Arizona Senate was on the ballot Tuesday. Six days of counting show Republicans likely to not only retain control of the 30-member chamber, but to possibly gain a seat . The Senate is currently split 16-14.

The Republicans have won control of the U.S. House of Representatives after the party took 218 seats in national elections, NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ called. All 435 House seats were up for reelection leaving the chamber’s balance of power up for grabs.
