The United States stressed at the United Nations on Tuesday that "there must be no forcible displacement, nor policy of starvation in Gaza" by Israel, warning such policies would have grave implications under U.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Nov. 13 that Israel failed to fully address U.S. demands to ease civilian suffering in Gaza and called for an end to Israel’s war in Gaza.

Residents said Israeli forces besieged shelters housing displaced families and the remaining population, which some estimated at a few thousand, ordering them to head south through a checkpoint separating two towns and a refugee camp in the north from Gaza City.

The United States on Tuesday said Israel is not currently impeding humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip and therefore is not violating U.S. law, avoiding restrictions on U.S. military aid.

The United States will not withhold military aid from Israel, the State Department said Tuesday, despite the situation in Gaza not improving, according to aid groups and U.N. officials.

The Biden administration gave Israel 30 days to increase the flow of aid, warning that aid shipments into Gaza in September had reached an alarmingly low level.
