An Apple Valley man was sentenced to a decade in prison Monday for his role in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, court records show.

While the state asked for 261 months, Selmon pled guilty to one count of second-degree murder in June 2024 and received a lower sentence.

A suspect was in custody following a shooting that left one person dead and another wounded in Apple Valley on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
