Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt shared details Thursday about the legally required recount in the Senate race between Bob Casey and Dave McCormick. Meanwhile, a lawsuit’s been filed on behalf of Dave McCormick and Republicans against the Bucks County Board of Elections.

Bucks County commissioners voted to count ballots lacking proper signatures, violating a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling earlier this year. The three-member board voted two to one to count these illegal ballots in the Senate race recount.

Pennsylvania will recount the race between incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey and Republican David McCormick, who leads by 28,000 votes.
