Barcelona's return to Camp Nou has been scrapped as permit issues force Joan Gamper Trophy clash with Como to be moved to Johan Cruyff Stadium.

The last two editions of the Gamper Trophy have been played at the Montjuic, with Barca beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in 2023 and losing 3-0 to AS Monaco last summer. Barca had originally hoped to be back in their revamped home for their 125th anniversary in November 2024 but the construction project hit delays.

The reports states: “UEFA doubts that Barça can play the first phase of the Champions League at the Camp Nou.” It hasn’t been ruled out yet but another visit to the stadium is planned in a month’s time before a decision is made.
