Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania has accepted an invitation from President-elect Donald Trump to meet with him at his Mar-a-Lago estate, multiple sources said.

As Trump’s inauguration nears, Fetterman has shown the most receptiveness — and sometimes enthusiasm — to work with Trump of any Democrat in the Senate.

The Pennsylvania Democrat is the first senator in his party to announce a meeting with President-elect Donald J. Trump, a sign of the political times as the Republican trifecta is about to begin.

The burly first-term lawmaker is expected to jet to Palm Beach over the weekend at Trump’s invitation, although Trump transition officials warned that the meeting was not set in stone.

The Pennsylvania senator, a Democrat, said he would "meet with and have a conversation with anyone" to deliver for his state.

In an interview, the Pennsylvania senator said his Democratic Party needs to be part of the conversation, not get “freaked out.”

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman (D) was elected as a progressive, but after his strong pro-Israel stance in the wake of the October 7th Hamas attack, he's been taking a decidedly more moderate approach.
