Skylar Beach, the subject of an AMBER Alert, was found alive and safe. The Hamlin police chief says Terry Jeter, 43, is charged with her kidnapping.

The program name, AMBER, stands for “America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response.” The acronym is a tribute to 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was kidnapped while riding her bike in Arlington, Texas, and murdered.

Police are searching for Terry Jeter, a 43-year-old white man, in connection with Beach’s abduction, the alert from DPS said. Jeter was last seen in Hamlin wearing a black shirt and blue jeans and is believed to be driving a black 2002 Suzuki motorcycle with Texas license plate no. 138A4V.
