Much to the joy of some and displeasure of others, snow was falling across Nashville and Middle Tennessee Friday, with many residents likely to see several inches of the white stuff before day's end.

Friday's winter weather event covered Middle Tennessee under a thick blanket of snow. See the snow totals for Nashville and surrounding areas.

A winter storm warning has been issued for all of Middle Tennessee. While most areas could receive between three to six inches of snow on Friday, some areas could see as much as seven inches.

Mayor Freddie O'Connell talked about the ongoing response to the winter storm with emergency management and transportation officials Friday afternoon.
