After initially declaring Eagles attire unacceptable for Winslow Township school teachers to show their team pride, the South Jersey school system has had a change of heart. A controversy ensued this week when Assistant Superintendent Dorothy Carcamo handed down a dress code edict banning Eagles gear in a memo distributed to principals ahead of the Super Bowl.

San Francisco star Deebo Samuel made his rooting interests known in Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. It’s all Philly, baby. Samuel arrived in New Orleans sporting an AJ Brown Eagles jersey. Samuel and Brown are friends and both are represented by agents Tory Dandy and Jimmy Sexton.

It also featured a visit from a green-and-white food truck from Dietz & Watson, the Philadelphia deli meat firm. The truck served free Bird Dogs — hot dogs topped with roasted long hots, provolone and fried onions on an Eagles-green bun.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the home team in Super Bowl LV – both figuratively and literally since the game was played at their home stadium, Raymond James Stadium – and chose to wear white jerseys with pewter pants against the Kansas City Chiefs, who wore red jerseys with white pants.
