A bomb threat at Montgomery Blair High School that led to the Wednesday evacuation of the school is being investigated as a swatting call.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bomb threat called into circuit court in downtown Hagerstown on Feb. 2, 2026.

MADISON, Miss. (WLBT) - An elementary school was evacuated and closed after receiving a bomb threat on Wednesday, the Madison Police Department said. According to the Madison County School District, a threat was called in to Madison Station Elementary School.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – Albany Police are reassuring the community after a bomb threat was made against the Broadview Bank. Albany Police say the department responded to the bank located at 110 State Street around 4:20 p.m. Police say they located the individual who made the threat and took them into custody.

The public is not in any danger but advised to stay away from the area.

The Columbia Heights school district canceled classes Monday after what school officials are calling a “credible threat.” The district said the move to cancel classes was out of an abundance of caution.

Later in the morning, Columbia Heights Police revealed that a bomb threat had been emailed to several schools in the district early Monday morning. Because of the timing, law enforcement couldn’t fully investigate before classes were set to start, so officials decided to cancel school as a precaution.
