A group of immigrants with temporary legal status in the U.S. is suing the Trump administration after the Department of Homeland Security terminated the legal protections for some 60,000 people from Nicaragua,

The decision by the Homeland Security Department to end protections for migrants from those countries goes into effect in about two months.

A lawsuit has been filed challenging the Trump administration's decision to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for over 60,000 individuals from Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua, arguing that it is unlawful and a deliberate step towards dismantling humanitarian protections for immigrants.
