Justin Thomas sent a memo to his fellow PGA Tour golfers on Tuesday, imploring them to be more accommodating to the sport's broadcast partners as a means to connect with the fans and improve television viewership.
"Let’s be honest — this game can feel a little distant at times," Thomas told his fellow players. He had ideas for how to bridge that gap.

The fomer PGA Championship winner suggested more in-round interviews with players and other creative ideas for broadcasters.
Atlanta Drive GC made a bit of TGL history Tuesday night, defeating New York Golf Club in a shoutout — marking the second loss of the season for New York.
Horchel followed suit at the 11th after Matt Fitzpatrick landed in a pair of bunkers and picked up a penalty, which pushed Atlanta’s lead to four. Those two tied at the 14th. Cantlay, after tying with Fowler on their first hole, kept it close at the last to secure their shutout win. They hit 65-feet of putts throughout the night.
Atlanta Drive GC got their TGL campaign off to a flying start with a comfortable 4-0 victory over New York GC on Tuesday night. The result marked the lowest scoreline of the new TGL season so far and also the first shut out too. There were also no hammers played for the first time in a TGL match this season.
“Our Fan Forward research shows that “on-course personality” is the highest ranked driver of interest for young fans (18-34). Getting the younger age group interested and watching our sport could be a huge difference in our popularity,” Thomas wrote.
The two-time major champion said the broadcasts can be better with increased participation from fellow players.
