Everton are stepping up their efforts to sign a new striker after Dominic Calvert-Lewin suffered a "huge" injury blow against Brighton.

The striker looked in immediate pain as he pulled up after challenging for a long ball against Brighton and Hove Albion. He initially received treatment on the pitch before hobbling off and heading straight down the tunnel, replaced by Beto.
